Thematic bulletins Hate Crime

The PPS publishes annual statistics on Cases Involving Hate Crime. The statistics are set out in two parts: 

  • Part One presents key statistics in relation to cases involving hate crime submitted to the PPS by the PSNI. 
  • Part Two presents key statistics in relation to cases considered by a prosecutor to have involved hate crime which was ‘aggravated by hostility’.  

The statistics include caseloads, prosecutorial decisions and the outcomes of prosecutions at court. Each statistical release provides figures for the latest financial year and includes comparisons for the previous financial year.
